Winner – Yangmyung Ma (5th Year medical Student)
Runner Up – Hayat Nadama (Academic Foundation Doctor Year 2)
Congratulations to the winner and runner-up for the BFIRST Essay Prizes 2020 on the topic ‘First do no harm – avoiding adverse effects of international medical aid on local infrastructure by building sustainability.’
Both essays were well presented with thoughtful and genuine insights on the impacts of local infrastructure on development of local health care systems in developing countries.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, BSSH Overseas Day 2020 was cancelled, and we regrettably were unable to invite the winners to present their excellent work. We look forward to a delayed celebration in the next face-to-face meeting.
Once again, thank you all for your participation! Stay safe and stay tuned.
