Anthony Barabás
Mr Barabás is a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon. He attended Southampton Medical School, qualifying in 2001. He then spent 18 months at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Australia, just as the Bali Bombings occurred. His experience in reconstructing the victims of the bombings was the start of his career into Plastic Surgery.
Between 2007-2014 he undertook Specialist Higher Surgical Training in Plastic and Hand Surgery in many world-renown hospitals across London and was awarded Fellowship to the Royal College of Plastic Surgeons in 2011. He undertook Fellowships in hand surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital (London), Groote Schuur Hospital (Cape Town), Foothills Medical Centre (Calgary, Canada) and was awarded the 2013 Interface Hand Fellowship at one of Europe’s best hand centres, the Pulvertaft Hand Unit in Derby.
He has more than 20 publications, 17 International or National presentations and 4 book chapters, including chapters on “Rarer compression neuropathies of the upper limb” and “Infections of the Hand”.
